first day, second year

I wasn't nearly as emotional as last year, but as I drove him to Montessori I did start thinking about next year. Next year he'll wear a uniform, meet new friends, have a new teacher, spend more days at school than at home. I may have cried (just a bit).

  1. Beautiful boy, beautiful bag, beautiful home.

I cried today singing 'Calico Skies' to Jude along with Paul McCartney. Mums can be such saps. Wouldn't have it any other way.

  2. It doesn't get any easier I am sure. Charlie turned 6 yesterday, all day I felt teary - 6 seems such a huge number for my little boy. Have a great day school little Che... Rufus has that back pack and lunchbox, but the blue dog one. CUTE! x

  3. yes. the preschooler is back at day care too for his last year before school. but I have to admit I've been so distracted with the new addition that I haven't been too bothered...now when it's her turn to go I'm thinking it will be a different story!

  4. He is just too gorgeous your boy. If we weren't homeschooling I know for a fact I'd be teary! How do you find Montessori? If we go back to school we'll try a Montessori school for our Belle. She would benefit very much from it I think. You're doing a wonderful job mama and that little man is living proof! xxx

  6. Lalalalalalala - I'm not listening!

If I ignore it, time will stop & these precious wee ones won't get so grown up, so fast!

  7. our 7yo son enjoyed pre-school so much that on his first day of kindy he flew right into the room + didn't even kiss mummy (who WAS teary-eyed). i still think of the wonderful staff at pre-school. every year he looks forward to his new teacher, new school gear, new everything. it's going too fast for my liking though :)

  10. Awww Jodi! He is such a gentleman! I love his backpack, Abi has the pink mouse version.

She started her 1st year at pre-school last week. I cried, on and off, all day. When I went to collect her, SHE cried because she didn't want to come home, in fact, she wanted to sleep at pre-school from now on.

Next year will be HUGE, but at least it's 12 months away ;)

    xx

  11. I will definitely cry when my son goes off to school - it will be the first time he'll have more influence from other people than he will from us.
btw - where is your gorgeous kitchen/cooker from? I love it!
