the long and the short of it

My hairdresser has been wanting to cut my locks for about a year now. And I finally decided a few weeks ago that it was high time that ponytail fell to the ground in one liberating snip. And so yesterday I sat in the chair watching my hair fall piece by piece. Floating towards the broom. And then I wondered why on earth I had waited so long. It feels so so good. There is a certain freedom that comes with a bob. I love it. Daniel's changed my name to Amelie. And I like that too.

  6. Seriously stylish and stunning.
Your lovely eyes can be seen so much more easily.
I have a theorgy that women are not truly grown up until they are emancipated from their ``little girl'' hairstyle. Longer locks don't have to look like a little girl's hair. Cute for kids - sad for women.

  7. Wow, the bob is hot on you. ;) Amelie is my most favorite film ever. I tried to cut my own hair similar recently, but am growing my bangs out now so they sweep to the side. I get bored too easily! We just moved, so I'm on the search for a new stylist now. Anyway, you look amazing!

  8. Yeap, it's a keeper. Looks fantastic. I have been going shorter and shorter with each chop and have been sporting a do of about the same length for about three weeks. I don't straighten or blowdry my hair - which my darling hairdresser knows and cuts accordingly - and it looks different each day depending on whether it's decided to lie straight or kink. I haven't decided yet whether to keep it or grow it out again for winter. I did think of going really really short ... hmmmm.

  11. Wonderful! I'm wanting to cut all mine off too -- all the hair salons in town seem to give me the SAME cut no matter what I say though. Hmmm. Might have to travel.
