film: a few moments

Daniel has discovered his passion and his art. Twenty minutes of filming, a couple of hours editing and here we have a beautiful peek into the lives of friends...a memento, a keepsake, a reminder of a normal day when their son was small and cheeky.

A glimpse into daily life is so wonderfully intriguing. And really, it's what you want to remember as a parent, don't you think? While birthdays are special and holidays are memory making, it's the days spent at home, in the space where we live, eat, grow and learn that make us who we are. That fuse us as family.

Once again it is the simplicity of normal life that is true beauty. It's that normality that we want to remember. And express gratitude for.

I'm so proud of my filmmaker man...for pursuing his dream. For creating such beauty.

    Jodi, you're so right, it's the 'everyday' moments that are the gifts that we want to treasure.
    The giggles, the crinkly eyes of pure joy, the little legs pattering, the innocent pleasures of childhood.

    Such a beautiful film of moments that are usually forgotten with the passage of time. He is definitely talented.

    I love this! I was watching and I thought: I recognise that window seat, and that bedroom! It's the best room in the Beetle Shack!
    Is filming his day job? Or just a hobby at the moment? He is great at is whichever way. Rach x

    So Daniel's last beautiful snippet of Che wasn't a fluke! He's gone and backed it up with this gorgeous little glimpse into a little boys world. The man has talent, I have to say! I love it :)

    ...and as if I wasn't already envious enough of Em @ The Beetle Shack.... firstly to have you as her neighbour then there was those amazing photos taken last week...and now THIS?!? It's too much...

    Jodi you always seem to give me a tear! It is the everyday moments isn't it. Making blueberry smoothies together, snuggling that tiny body to read a book. So so special. And in the grand scheme of our lives, so fleeting. Daniel is amazing! Kellie xx

    Jodi,Daniel's films are just gorgeous..I love the non intrusive way he films..letting things simply unfold in front of his camera.. films like little boy Che climbing his very first tree to this...2 little boys experiencing the everyday joy of being....just
